To contact Borough Hall please call 222-8221 or 222-8179.

 

Brush and Branch Disposal

All branches placed for garbage pickup must be tied in bundles not exceeding 3 feet in diameter or 5 feet in length. There is no pick up for tree stumps or individual tree limbs or branches that exceed 3 inches in diameter.

 

Bulk Trash and Building Materials

No building material including doors and wooden fences are picked up by either the Trash contractor or Public Works,

Public Works will pick up any metal and appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, air conditioners etc. by calling 222-8221 , Monday thru Friday 9 – 4 p.m.

 

Certificate of Occupancy Information

C.O. for rental/resale is required whenever there is a change of occupancy for a property.

For Residential C.O.
Application is made in the Clerk's Office at Borough Hall for a fee of $35.00. After the application is made, the Housing Inspector will contact you within 7 business days to schedule the inspection. There is no checklist available, however, all properties should have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher and generally good conditions.

Dog and Cat Licenses

Dog and cat licenses are renewable in January every year. The dogs and cats must have a rabies vaccine valid thru October of that year to obtain or renew a license.

If rabies vaccine is current, licenses can be renewed by mail by sending to:

Fees are $8 for neutered/spayed and $11 if not. To check if rabies vaccine is current call 732-222-8221.

 

Garbage Containers

Garbage containers should not exceed 35 gallons in volume or 50 pounds. Please remember your containers are picked up by a person not a machine.

 

Recycling Curbside Pick Up

Recycling curbside pick up is the 1st and 3rd Wednesday or Thursday of each month. Those residents living west of Myrtle Ave have pick up on Wednesday and east of Myrtle Ave. have Thursday pick ups.

 

Taxes

Taxes are due the 1st of February, May, August and November each year.
